Dave Barwick graduated from Dulaney High School as a three year varsity baseball player. As a senior, he was the team MVP. He coached the Cockeysville Sting travel softball team to great success for eight years. The highlights of his Sting coaching stint was finishing as runners-up in two national tournaments. Coach Barwick has been the varsity softball head coach at Dulaney High School since 2007. The Lions softball team is consistently ranked as one of the top teams in the metro area and was the 2023 Maryland Conference 4A State Runner-up and winner of the 2023 State Sportsmanship Award.
Tom Melito has been a teacher in BCPS for the last 30 years. His first ten years were as a 4th and 5th grade teacher in Randallstown and Towson while the last 20 years have been as an Outdoor Science resource teacher and curriculum writer for the BCPS Office of Science. Tom has taught every single BCPS 5th grader in a program titled Eco-Trekkers from 2004-16 and since 2016 has taught the subsequent 5th graders in another environmentally oriented program entitled, BioBlitz. He has coached various levels of boys and girls soccer, baseball, and softball, both in house and travel teams, with the Lutherville Timonium Recreation Council. From 2010-2014, he was both assistant coach and head coach of the St. Paul’s School for Girls varsity softball team. For the past ten years, Tom has acted as the assistant coach for the Dulaney High School varsity softball team. Tom attended Villanova University for his BA and the University of San Diego for a Master’s in Education.
My name is Lilly Tinker and I will be a 2024 graduate of Dulaney High School. In my academic pursuits, I have completed many advanced placement courses as well as been a member of National Honor Society, Rho Kappa Social Studies National Honor Society, and Science National Honor Society. I have been an honor roll student all throughout high school and I am planning to attend a four year university to advance my academic studies. In my athletic endeavors at Dulaney, I have been a four year varsity starter on the softball team. I am a two time All County pitcher and all division pitcher. I have recorded 152 strikeouts through my junior year with a 7.91 K/BB ratio and my current career batting average is .303. During my junior season, I was an integral part of our quest for the state championship for the first time in 22 years. During our playoff appearance and season, I posted a 2.17 ERA with 87 strikeouts. I also play on the Gold Coast Hurricanes Softball 18A travel softball team. In my free time, I enjoy traveling and spending time with my family and friends. This upcoming season I look forward to picking up where we left off! Go Lions!
